Welcome

Brothers,

I have created a forum for us to discuss pretty much anything we want going forward.  All the great discussion we have had over the last 2 years or so has been enriching and rewarding for me and I am very thankful to God for all of you.  There is nothing like being "sharpened" by my brothers in Christ.  I hope we can encourage and motivate each other through the work of the Holy Spirit inside each of us.  This tool can help to discuss things during the week and not have to wait until the next meeting.

This site is a public site and anyone that wants to visit can see what we write.  That obviously requires that they are aware of the site in the first place though and since my name is not common, it's not likely anyone will discover it unless YOU tell them.  Just wanted to make that clear.

So Ossama and I have been talking how we can give more than we have in the past, especially given the current environment and tough economy.  There are people in our own church that have lost their homes and there must be ways to help them.  Check out this link to see how our church is helping: http://www.myfoxdc.com/myfox/pages/Home/Detail;jsessionid=A0F3D8058431DECD47A93B6863FC8D59?contentId=7960903&version=3&locale=EN-US&layoutCode=TSTY&pageId=1.1.1&sflg=1

Our small group can help in many ways.  But one way is that we can actually do a donation as a group to the church.  I invite you all to comment here on the idea and propose how this can be done, how much you want to donate, etc.

Thanks to those who have responded thus far.

Keep in mind the following from Malachi: "Will a man rob God? Yet you rob me.  "But you ask, 'How do we rob you?'   "In tithes and offerings. 9 You are under a curse—the whole nation of you—because you are robbing me. 10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it. 11 I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not cast their fruit," says the LORD Almighty. 12 "Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightful land," says the LORD Almighty.

Your Bro,
In Christ,
Emad
